Closing the land chapter

Thirty years of accumulations, memory making and experiences came to a close after the sale of the house in Fairport NY. You never know what material things you save until you have to free yourself of them. The job of emptying the house took several months but eventually we got it down to one 40 foot truck, most of which went into storage in Florida. The things we took were only what we thought we would need for living and traveling on the boat.

Our departing gift from Rochester weather was the first snowstorm of the winter season. How lucky we felt to be leaving. It made it easier for us to leave because we both didn’t want to think about what we were leaving behind. We focused on the adventure we were embarking on.

Our neighbors gave us a memorable send off with a gathering for dinner and reminiscing about past events in the neighborhood. We will miss them all but hope to stay in touch via email and through this web site.
